I love supporting new writers, so this is my big-sister advice for all of you guys. It took me some time to learn all of them, so I hope you don’t fall in the mud too.
Information Overload
Research articles are enjoyable from time to time, but only when I’m looking for pure data.
More than half of Substack is about interpreting data. That number is probably higher, but let’s go with 60% conservatively.
The art of analysis is like having a magnifying glass that’s invisible to everyone else.
Someone out there needs to hear YOUR perspective, not more of “research shows blah blah blah”. Data is a great way to back up your claims, but you can’t eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
